History

Susquehanna Sports Center opened in 1998 with a full size ice rink.  In 2000, the ice business was sold and inline roller hockey was introduced.  There are 40 plus adult teams playing three sessions a year today.

A new turf field was added in the winter of 2005.  Various sports are played here including soccer, flag football, field hockey & lacrosse.  A number of personal trainers and injury prevention programs work out at the Sports Center.

For 2013, The Harrisburg Stampede Indoor Professional Football team trains at the Center.  SSC also offers two hitting cages for baseball & softball hitting and pitching practice.

Besides sports, the SSC hosts a number of events.  These include the following:

  • Dance Parties
  • New 4 You Kids (week long consignment sale)
  • Religious gatherings
  • Business meetings
  • Birthday Parties
  • Large Family Gatherings
  • Easter Seals Learn to Ride program
